KP Dawes is a Chicago-based history writer and published author. His academic essays have appeared in numerous journals and university databases, including those of EBSCO, Gale, and Salem Press. His articles have been featured by Ms, Jezebel, and Medium, among others.
KP was born in Communist Poland and immigrated to the United States as a child. He earned a graduate degree in Modern American History with a focus on feminist and labor history from Loyola University Chicago, and has worked as a speechwriter, editor, and teacher. He currently works in publishing.
