My Story

Hi, I'm KP Dawes. I produce high-contrast ink illustrations out of my studio in Chicago. Working exclusively with a stark black-and-white base and deliberate color accents, my focus is on clean line work, deep ink saturation, and tactile detail. And I NEVER use ai to create or alter my art.

In addition to self-publishing—including my illustrated novel, Kopper—my illustrations have been published in the Chicago Reader and a host of indie zines. More recently my drawings have begun to appear in local gallery spaces.
